Bosch GBH 18 V-Li Compact SDS+ Hammer in Action - VIDEO!

Last week we blogged from the Bosch Innovation Celebration event where the power tool company was unveiling several of their new corded, cordless and laser tools.
We picked up immediately on the form factor of the Bosch GBH18VLi compact hammer. It's tiny! Of course, Bosch are - quite rightly - boasting about its "best in class" status. But we're used to that!
However, it's clear that Bosch have identified a specific type of power tool user and have created a compact SDS+ hammer that will meet their needs. They feel the GBH 18V-Li is ideal for electricians and plumbers due to its maximum concrete drilling diameter capacity of 12mm.
In other words, if your job doesn't involve prolonged large capacity drilling into concrete, but it does involve regularly drilling into concrete for pipes and cables, then the GBH18V-Li Compact is worth considering.
Other features that bear noting are, obviously, how light the unit is. This will be something that anyone who has to work above head height on a regular basis will be interested in.
On top of that, Bosch are shipping the GBH18 V-Li Compact SDS+ with 1.5Ah batteries. These battery packs are smaller and lighter than their 18v 3Ah cousins. But the tool will accept your unique choice of 18 volt batteries with 3.0, 2.6, 1.3 Ah for individually adapting the runtime and weight to the particular application range.
