BRAND NEW - Bosch GBH2-20D 2 kilo SDS-plus Hammer Drill

Another brand new power tool from Bosch for quarter 4, the Bosch GBH2-20D 2 kilo SDS-plus hammer drill. Bosch were really excited about this one when we attended their Innovation Roadshow (listen to the podcast of the event) earlier this month. And we can understand why. When they unveiled it in the demo room, a few of the guys muttered that it didn't look up to much.
But that's perhaps the point; the drill flatters to deceive in that it's compact and light, therefore you're going to be able to use this all day (at height, such as fitting satellite dishes) with less fatigue than you'd experience with a heavier model. But does the lighter weight of this SDS+ hammer lack the brute grunt needed to drill and chip concrete?
Here's Bosch's stats;
- 650 watt motor
- 1.7 joules impact energy
- 0-4980 blows per minute impact rate
- drilling capacities of 30mm in wood, 20mm in concrete and 13mm in steel
What's it like in action? Take a look;
We think this is going to sell well and will allow you to work longer and harder with less stress and fatigue. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments.
