DIY Week and the Parachute Jump
Posted by Mark Hunter - August 17, 2011
Our friends at DIY Week magazine are putting their bravest foot forward for charity. Literally putting it forward. Like, out of a moving aeroplane forward...
DIY Week editor Will Parsons and ad manager Rachael Lyon, pictured, are just two of 15 individuals taking to the skies for the inaugural Rainy Day Trust tandem parachute jump on Sunday September 25th.
The volunteers will each carry out a tandem jump at the British Army Parachute Association training centre at Netheravon, Wiltshire, right in the middle of the MOD's training facilities on Salisbury Plain. The jump, from a height of 13,500 ft, includes a 45-second, 120mph freefall before the parachute is deployed.
The purpose of the jump is to raise much-needed funds for the home improvement industry’s charity the Rainy Day Trust, and each member of the team has undertaken to raise £1,000 - but they need your help to get there!
If you would like to support any of the team please just email them at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them who you wish to sponsor, and for how much, they'll add you to the list of sponsors.

Good luck to Will and Rachael from everyone here at Toolstop!
