Makita BB0180 & BBO140 Sanders - They Do the Hard Work
Posted by Mark Hunter - April 09, 2013
Makita love slapping their 18v li-ion batteries on anything in the workshop. They even do it with their 14.4v li-ion batteries (both battery types offering 3Ah capacity).
We decided we could have a bit of fun with 2 of their li-ion powered tools, the BBO180 and BBO140 (click the links for our best prices).
The idea was to fire them up and let them put their 11000 orbits per minute (IPM) and 22000 strokes per minute (RPM) to the test on a door. We wanted to see if they could do the work of sanding it without any human intervention.
Here's how they got on.
Of course, if you want to get all the juicy details of how well one of these will perform for on the jobsite, you should have a look at our proper demo video.
