Nearly twice the drilling capacity is available from the new Makita BHR162 cordless rotary hammer drill, which has been developed as the most compact and lightweight 16mm drill available. Weighing just 2.1kg and with a new ergonomic grip handle design the BHR162 is a powerful, hard working drill for most fixing operations.

This new SDS+ rotary hammer is powered by a 14.4 volt 3.0Ah Li-ion battery cell. Dual mode selection allows either rotary only or rotary with hammer action to be used. Comparison tests with the previous Makita HR160D model show 90% increase in drilling work done on a single battery charge by the new BHR162 tool.

The full features list for the BHR162 includes variable speed control, torque limiter for operator safety, job light with afterglow function, ergonomic grip handle design for HAV protection, externally replaceable carbon motor brushes and new soft-grip anti vibration side handle.
