Miller Fall Arrest Kits are produced specifically to provide companies with an immediate selection of fall protection equipment to suit their requirements. All kits are conveniently packed in back packs or small carrying cases and conform to EN 361.

2004 LEGISLATION FOR FALL ARREST AND RESTRAINT

Falls from height remain one of the most common causes of serious injury & death in Industry today. This fact, coupled with tightening regulations governing working at height, results in a greater need to consider how to protect those exposed to potential injury from a fall.

New legislation, effective 2004, means all businesses are required to make proper provision for the planning and organisation of those working at height. The new standard, "zero tolerance" (previously the trigger point was 2 metres and above), will apply to all industry sectors and work activities where there is a risk of falling from height and is liable to cause personal injury.

Employers will be required to carry out Risk Assessments, take steps to avoid, prevent and/or mitigate all risks of falling so far as is reasonably practicable, and to provide the appropriate Safety Equipment, Codes of Practise and Comprehensive Training in both Equipment and the Safe Working Environment.
