The Toolstop Christmas Jumper Appeal for Save the Children
Posted by Mark Hunter - December 14, 2012
It's Christmas Jumper day at Toolstop and it was an opportunity for the staff to dress a little differently than normal.
The idea was to find the tackiest Christmas jumpers or apparel possible and wear it to work, making a donation along the way. And for some, that means simply wearing what they'd normally wear on a Friday...
What was the purpose?
Raising money, of course!
The total raised was £300. And the cause was Save the Children.
How can funds like this be used, in practical ways?
Here's a couple of ideas;
- it's enough to fund two nurses wages for a month in India to treat the sick children
- it's enough to pay for school uniforms for 15 underprivileged children in the UK.
