If your purchase is found to be faulty within 14 days of purchase, please contact Toolstop on 44-1698-819-000 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org. We will recommend the best course of action to get the issue resolved. In some cases for countries outside the EU we will ask that you handle a repair or replacement locally or return the item to Toolstop at your own cost. Toolstop will make every effort possible to assist with this process.
If your purchase is outside the 14 day period you are still covered by the manufacturers warranty, the procedures for each of the main manufacturers is detailed below.
PLEASE NOTE - The guarantee does not apply where:
- Repairs have been made or attempted by others.
- Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear.
- The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained.
- Alterations have been made to the tool.
- This does not affect your statutory rights.
Bosch Power Tools (including Lawn and Garden, Skil, Rotozip and Dremel)
Call 01895 838791 and the Bosch Service Centre will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Bosch Professional Power Tools come with a 1 year warranty as standard but if you register the tool online within 30 days you'll get an extra 2 years warranty free. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase. The Bosch guarantee applies to tools that are bought and used in Europe.
Dewalt Power Tools
Call 01753 567055 and the Dewalt Service Centre will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Normally you will be asked to take the faulty item to your nearest Dewalt Agent but if you are further than 10 miles away from an agent they will arrange to have your item collected by carrier. Warranty on Black & Decker products is for 2 years and Dewalt products is for 1 year. The warranty is valid anywhere in Europe but not beyond. There are Service Agents in all major European countries to carry out repairs. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
Freezemaster offer a worldwide 12 month warranty. Contact Toolstop on 44-1698-819-000 and we will put you in touch with Freezemaster who will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Carriage is generally paid by the customer. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
Hitachi Power Tools
Call 01908 660663 and ask for the Service Department. They will triage the problem and if a fault is diagnosed they will provide you with a returns number and a form to be completed which should be faxed back to them on the number they provide. They will arrange to collect your product (only from a business address otherwise you are responsible to pay the shipping cost)), repair it and return it free of charge. Please Note, you will require to enclose your Toolstop invoice and completed returns form with the returned item. The Hitachi warranty is only valid in the UK, therefore any items being shipped abroad need to be returned to the UK for repair at the customers expense.
Makita Power Tools
Makita power tools come with a 3 year warranty (online registration within 30 days of purchase required). This applies to all tools excluding batteries, chargers, outdoor power equipment and air tools.
Contact Toolstop on 44-1698-819-000 and we will advise the best course of action to get your tool repaired. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
Generally, we will repair the product and send it back to you or we will return to Makitas Service Centre and they will return your repaired product to you.
Metabo Power Tools
Metabo offer a XXL 3 Year Warranty which applies to all machines, batteries, chucks and chargers which have been purchased new and registered online within the first 4 weeks of purchase, please register your new Metabo purchase at www.metabo.co.uk
The warranty covers defects in material and/or workmanship only. When making a claim under the warranty, the owners original proof of purchase bearing the date of purchase must be submitted. The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by Metabo's own service stations, or authorised Metabo warranty service agents.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:
- incorrect use, overloading of the machine or fitting non-approved accessories
- Use of force, damage caused by external influences or foreign bodies such as sand, stones or swarf.
- Damage caused by non-observance of the instructions for use such as connection to an unsuitable mains supply or voltage or non-compliance with the installation instructions
- Normal wear and tear.
- Export of UK specific product
The warranty also does not cover tools/machines, which have been partially or completely dismantled.
The operator bears sole responsibility for any damage caused by inappropriate use.
In the event of a Warranty claim call Metabo Customer Services on 02380 732000, once warranty claim is verified by Metabo a TD Number will be issued.
Goods returned under warranty within 1 year of purchase will be collected by Metabo provided the following conditions are met.
All claims for return must have a TD Number as issued by Customer Services upon receipt of an advanced faxed proof of purchase. Fax No 02380 747500.
All goods returned under warranty must include Proof of Purchase faxed to Metabo in advance Fax No 02380 747500.
All XXL claims must include XXL registration documentation.
Customers who have registered under XXL, and the Metabo product purchased is over 12 months old must return to Metabo at their cost any Warranty Claims accompanied by TD number issued by customer services and a copy of the XXL registration document, were goods were originally supplied by pallet Metabo offer a Freight collection and return service at a cost of £55.00.
Exported Goods: Where goods manufactured specifically for the UK market have been supplied to customers outside of the UK, both the standard warranty and any XXL registration claim will be deemed void if the product has been adapted for non-UK use.
Any such claim/repair will be at the discretion of the local dealer, who will request proof of purchase.
Panasonic Power Tools
Contact Panasonics Service Provider Salco Tools on 02380 737355 and they will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
PLS offer a 2 year worldwide warranty. In the event of a fault, contact your local PLS Laser dealer or visit www.plslaser.com to find one. The dealer will take care of any warranty repair if required. There may be a handling charge if shipping costs are incurred by the dealer. Please Note, you may require to produce proof of date-of-purchase.
Rothenberger offer a 12 month Worldwide warranty. Contact Rothenberger UK customer services on 0800 626 985 or email@example.com and they will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
Sealey Power Products
Sealey products have a minimum 12 months warranty from date of sale. Contact our Customer Service Department on 44-1698-819-000 who will arrange collection from you, repair and delivery back to you. There may be a charge for the carriage to and from the Sealey Service Agent. Warranty is covered worldwide. Please Note, you will require to produce your Toolstop invoice as proof of purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event your product develops a fault within the warranty period but after our 14 day no quibble return period, and Toolstop handles your warranty procedure on your behalf, a handling charge will apply.
