#1 – AN IMPROVED BRUSHLESS MOTOR

Brushless is virtually the norm in professional cordless power tools and that’s due to how robust these motors are and their improved efficiency.

Dewalt has gone even further with the motor on the DCD991, making it bigger which results in a 34% increase in power.

#2 – THE THREE SPEED GEARBOX

The more gears a drill has, the greater the control you have over the RPM of the chuck. This is ideal for avoiding over-driving a screw or for those times when just need more power to the chuck.

#3 – THE CHUCK

Knocks and bumps are expected on the job site and these can result in damage and corrosion to the chuck of your drill. The DCD991’s chuck is a durable nitro-carburised metal. During the manufacturing process, the metal used in the chuck is infused with nitrogen and carbon. This makes the chuck stronger and helps to prevent corrosion.

And the carbide inserts mean the chuck’s jaws have amazing bit gripping strength.

#4 – IT’S XRP

We know that Dewalt’s XR cordless tools helped us move into a world of ultra-reliable cordless tools. XRP goes even further, promising eXtreme Runtime and Performance.

#5 – The LED JOBLIGHT

Dewalt has added a 3-stage led light to the base of the drill which allows you to go from 2.6 lumens all the way up to a massive 60 lumens. This means you can use the drill as you would a torch in even the darkest corners of the job site.

The DCD991 is available now, supplied in a heavy duty T-Stak case, two 5Ah XR batteries and a multi-volt charger. And it qualifies for Toolstop Finance, Tap/Click here to see it.
