The Makita DHP480 is equipped with XPT (eXtreme Protection Technology) essential in harsh outdoor enviroments as it gives added protection against dust and dripping water. It is powered by a Brushless DC Motor which is maintenance free, no more replacing brushes. This also has the added benefit of enabling lower amperage and heat production which increases power and reduces battery wear. For comfort during use the rubberised handle has been contoured and widened according to the U shape formed between the users thumb and index finger.
