Oswestry Professional DIY
- It is obviously towards the cheap and cheerful end of mitre saws but has plenty of power and cuts nice and square. Angle adjustment is good and there is a rear guard to stop a ragged edge as the saw cuts through the wood. Mounted it on a piece of 18mm ply which can fit on a workmate, works well. Supplied blade, and a spare, are ok for general use so no need to buy a finer toothed blade. Would have been 9/10 if it hadn't been for the brake problem and flimsy clamp
- Brake does not function 100% of the time, generally ok but occasionally will nearly slow to a stop before it cuts in. Busy building a large shed so can't do without it but if it gets worse will have to return it to Hitachi to fix when finished project.
Clamp is a bit flimsy but adequate.
