Another great feature on these new tools from Makita is XPT: “Extreme Protection Technology”. This is just a fancy way of saying that the tools will feature a degree of protection against water and dust ingress, ideal for anyone working in areas prone to being damp and dusty, or when you’re having to work outdoors during a rain shower.

A battery fuel guage has been a long sought-after feature on all Makita li-ion battery powered tools. It’s great to see this included on the DHP480 & DDF480. A simple press of the trigger will indicate what charge state your battery has.
