The Makita DHP459 Cordless Hammer Driver Drill has been developed specially for light to medium duty drilling and fastening applications. It has a very short body which makes it ideal for working in tight situations. It is powered by a Brushless DC Motor which is maintenance free, no more replacing brushes. This also has the added benefit of enabling lower amperage and heat production which increases power and reduces battery wear.
