Trend Snappy One Touch Release Bit Holders – FIRST LOOK

Posted by Toolstop on 9th Feb 2017

Trend’s Snappy system is a great way to make switching between bits fast and fuss-free. We’ve been fans of the system for a while, such as the 56 piece screwdriver bit set, which covers you for loads of applications. The bits even have nifty coloured rings to help you identify the one you need at a glance.

The Watford-based firm has recently launched two new additions to the Snappy range, both of which benefit from a so-called “one touch” system.

Trend’s Snappy One Touch Release Bit Holder – What Are the Features and Benefits?

Obviously, all Snappy bits fit quickly and easily into any impact driver. They also fit into Trend’s own Quick Change Chucks. And using the magnetic bit holder supplied with kits like the one above, they’ll also work fine in a standard chuck.

But the key benefit of the new One Touch Release Bit Holders is the one touch release part!

Watch the video demo to see the system in action.

There are two versions available at launch.

Slot it into any drill or impact driver and you’re ready to go. It’s got a 10.3mm diameter body, ideal for tight access areas and if you’re already running Trend’s Quick Change Chuck, it’s the ideal companion.

Like the 66mm long version, this has been tested up to 50Nm, has a stainless steel body, torsion control and the bit holder has an extra strong N50 magnet, perfect for keeping the bit in place while making sure the screw stays in contact with the bit.

This one is 150mm long, so it’s ideal for access screws in hard to reach areas!

And obviously, both feature the “one touch” release system. A simple press of the button and the bit pops part way out of the housing, ready for you to switch it out.

These bit holders are inexpensive additions to your kit and they’re all about keeping you working quickly and efficiently.
